Do I need to sort my recycling?
No. Bring everything together and we sort it for you. No sorting means no hassle for you.
Is someone there to help?
This is a self-service kerbside drop-off – the space is always accessible, right on the kerb beside our stone wall. Just pull up and drop off. If you have questions or need help, email us and we'll get back to you quickly.
What if the kerbside space is full?
We check the drop-off area regularly and clear it as needed. If you arrive and the kerb space is packed, just send us a quick email – we'll sort it right away. You can also leave items neatly stacked further along the kerb.
Can I drop off a full carload?
Absolutely. There's no limit – bring as much as you have. For very large loads (trailers, multiple carloads), a quick heads-up by email helps us make sure there's room.
What happens to the recycling after I drop it off?
Every item is sorted and sent to the right facility – paper to pulping mills, glass to crushers, metals to smelters, plastics to reprocessing. Nothing goes to landfill unless it absolutely has to.
Is this actually free? What's the catch?
No catch. Manny's Recycling is a non-profit community service. We're run by locals who just want to make recycling easy for everyone in Blockhouse Bay.
